BACnet International has a booth at the AHR 2010 Expo  (January 25 – 27, 2010) in Orlando, FL (Orange County Convention Center). 

We are limited to 18 participating member companies.

Overview:
We are excited to announce that this year’s booth number is 1151.  Its dimensions are 25' x 30'.

Purpose:
The purpose of the booth is to promote BACnet International and BACnet.  Our theme this year is "Building Better with BACnet."

This is an inexpensive way for our members to have a presence at the show while strongly saying “I’m BACnet.”

By having a wide variety of participating member companies each year, we showcase not only our members, but the global nature of BACnet.  An overall marketing message will be distributed before the show to ensure a consistent message among booth members.

A pre-show meeting will be held onsite prior to the show doors opening.  More details will be forwarded on this in January.

Booth Selection/Sign-Up:
Beginning next week, members will be invited to register for a kiosk space.

Members will sign up based on membership level by completing the online registration form.  Schedule is as follows:

                  
Tuesday, November 3       Platinum Members       
Wednesday, November 4  Gold Members       
Thursday, November 5      Silver Members       

Registration for each group opens at Noon Eastern on the dates outlined above.

Each company will be contacted in the appropriate order to select their space via email as soon as the booth diagram is finalized (in progress - ETA Dec 1).

Space is assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis based on member levels above.  We are limited to 18 participating member companies.

Cost:
The cost for members to participate in this year’s booth is $5,000. 

A multi-event discount is being given to those members that participated in the Facility Decisions Conference in Las Vegas this September. Member companies that exhibited or sponsored receive a $500 discount.  This option is reflected in the registration form.

Invoicing:
Several of you have inquired if you can be invoiced for the booth in this fiscal year (2009) vs. 2010.  After submitting your registration form online, you will see a link in red on the screen that allows you to print an invoice (if paying by check or in 2010) or receipt (if you paid by credit card when submitting the form).  For those submitting payment in 2010, please plan to have it arrive no later than January 10, 2010.

Please provide any purchase order numbers, if possible, ahead of time (there is a place for this on the online registration form). A W-9 for your accounting department can be forwarded upon request.

BACnet International will Provide the Following in the Booth:
•    Booth # 1151 registered as BACnet International
•    Lead retrieval system
•    28 oz carpet and 1/2” padding
•    Set up/teardown of booth
•    BACnet International literature
•    42” plasma screen (x2) for Power Point presentation and/or video on BACnet, including promotional opportunities for booth participants
•    Booth cleaning
•    Literature holders

Kiosk Rental Includes:
•    Counter-top area for monitor, keyboard and mouse
•    20” monitor on standard desktop pedestal (for your presentations)
•    Storage area below countertop
•    Electrical service
•    Single lamp to light up kiosk space
•   
Kiosk display areas cannot support products

Participating Members to Provide:
•    One person to man kiosk at all times
•    Vendor's BACnet product(s) to display
•    PCs, keyboards, mice, controllers, etc.
•    Vendor BACnet literature

•    One PowerPoint Slide containing company overview
•    One PowerPoint slide with company product information or ad
•    Logo:  This will be used to create artwork for your kiosk. BACnet International will design this poster; all we need is your logo.       Format: high resolution, EPS/Vector.  Please email this to sarah@bacnetinternational.org.  If you have challenges emailing, please advise and we’ll make alternate arrangements.  Deadline: January 10, 2010.

Lead Retrieval:
There will be at least one lead retrieval machine for the booth. Leads are the property of BACnet International and will be shared by all booth participants at the same time. The Executive Office will email these out within two business days of show closing.

Product Displays and Interoperability:
We will again display examples of BACnet products on the back wall.  Each company will receive one space on the back wall.  Remaining space (total space still being determined and approved by show management) will be filled by appropriately members. Kiosk walls/sides will not support weight of products.  More details on this will be available in January 2010 to all members signed up.

Exhibitor Badges:
Please email BACnet International with a list of those working at your kiosk (and those with your company that need a badge to access the show)  by January 10 so BACnet International can make sure exhibitor badges will be waiting on them. 

The BACnet International Executive Office needs the following information emailed to sarah@bacnetinternational.org:
•    Name
•    Title
•    Company
 
AHR Contracts:
Each exhibitor will need to sign a contract with AHR.  BACnet International will handle all billing and money-related items with the show directly. The contract puts all BACnet International booth participants on equal footing with AHR, including the same benefits.  Therefore, all participants will have their company name in the online show directly with booth #1151 and contact information. 

As each exhibitor commits with BACnet International, BACnet International will have show management send you a contract directly for your signature.  Again, BACnet International will take care of all payment items. This just an item required by the show.

Move-In/Move-Out:
The move-in date is tentatively scheduled for Sunday, January 24, 2010. The show closes the afternoon of Wednesday, January 27, 2010.  Move-out will take place at that time.  Times will be provided closer to the show.

Booth Name Tags:
BACnet International will provide two (2) BACnet International name tags (magnetic backs).
