PlugFest 2008

A special thank you to for their outstanding sponsorship of the 2008 PlugFest.

BACnet International held its 9th annual BACnet Interoperability Workshop in St. Paul, MN October 7th-9th.  The event was sponsored by Trane.  This workshop was designed to be an informal environment in which engineers could bring their BACnet implementations for informal testing with other BACnet implementations and thus foster communications within the BACnet community and promote interoperability of BACnet devices.

This year the event was attended by 98 engineers from 29 different companies.  We formed 48 different teams and participated in one-on-one test sessions for 2 ½ days.  In addition to the test sessions, training sessions were offered on the second day providing information on preparing for testing, creating interoperable implementations and new BACnet features.

Prior to the workshop event, the BTL working group held its quarterly meeting to discuss BTL testing.
