Andy McMillan, President

Andy McMillan is President of BACnet International, where he works with users and suppliers to expand and enhance the BACnet community. Formerly he served as President and General Manager of Philips Teletrol, a leading supplier of IT-friendly energy information and control systems for multisite retail chains and other commercial building owner/operators. Andy joined Teletrol Systems, Inc. in 2003 and served as its President/CEO until its acquisition by Philips in 2009. Andy’s background includes broad open systems industry development and marketing experience, as well as strong technical knowledge of distributed automation and information management systems. Andy has co-founded several companies and has been a featured speaker on open systems and automation at conferences in North America, Europe, Japan, and Australia. Andy co-authored a book on open systems networking and holds a dozen patents in sensors, automation and software. He has MBA and BSEE degrees from the University of Michigan and is a member of ASHRAE, AEE, PRSM, and IEEE.d IEEE.

 Brad Hill - Global Technology Leader - Honeywell International

Brad Hill is working as a Global Technology Leader for Honeywell International where he is involved in developing solutions for the energy domain. He joined Honeywell in 1990 where he was involved in the design and programming of complex integrated control solutions for large projects. He began involvement with BACnet in 1996 through the need to integrate BACnet devices into building management systems. In 1999, he began product development work which included the development of a BACnet Operator Workstation, where he acquired a deep knowledge of the BACnet standard, after which time he continued on to lead Building Management product developments, and ultimately govern over them. He holds an MBA, BCompSc (Hons), and a DipElecEng, and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and PMP®.

 
     
Paul T. Jordan - Chief Technology Officer - American Auto-Matrix

Paul Jordan is the Chief Technology Officer for American Auto-Matrix, a commercial controls technology leader and US manufacturer that is a Service Connected Disabled Veteran Owned, Woman-Owned Small Business (CCR Cage No. 4LL80). Prior to this, Paul has been a Consultant, President of a fire protection company, and Sr. VP of Siebe Environmental Controls (now part of a different multi-national controls conglomerate). He has held executive positions in several other industries and holds a number of patents for products ranging from the Keyless drill chuck to a controller for variable displacement automobile engines. He is a graduate mechanical engineer with degrees from MIT and the University of Toledo, a registered Professional Engineer, and a former US Army Captain. 

 
     
Roland Laird, Reliable Controls

Roland Laird is the founder and President of Reliable Controls Corporation. Since 1986, Reliable Controls has grown to 100 professionals, providing a comprehensive BACnet Building Automation system. In his current role as President, Roland maintains an active involvement in product development with special emphasis on quality assurance. Through 2005 to 2010, he was an active participant in BACnet International’s BACnet Testing Labs working group and the ASHRAE SSPC 135 BACnet Committee. Roland graduated with honors in Instrumentation Technology from the British Columbia Institute of Technology in 1980.

 
     
 Raymond Rae - Vice President - Delta Controls, Inc.

Raymond Rae is the Vice President of Delta Controls Inc., a full line manufacturer of native BACnet Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems for Building Automation Systems (BAS). Raymond co-founded the Delta Controls Group in 1980, which now has thousands of installations worldwide. Raymond has enjoyed more than 35 years in the HVAC industry and has an extensive background, which includes: energy auditing, computerized building simulations, system commissioning, controls, engineering, product certifications, design, and marketing. Raymond has been a member of ASHRAE since 1984.

 Nancy Stein - Director HVP Product Marketing  - Siemens Industry Inc.

Nancy Stein is Director of Product Management for Siemens Building Technologies, Control Products and Systems (CPS) Business Unit. In her role, Ms. Stein is responsible for strategic direction of all CPS products. She also monitors the development of business plans and manages product lifecycles and market positioning. Ms. Stein has been with Siemens for over 22 years in product marketing and solution sales positions. Nancy has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and a MBA from DePaul University. She is currently in her fourth year on the BACnet International Board of Directors.

 
     
 Michael R Wilson – Product Marketing Manager - Automated Logic

 

Michael has worked for Automated Logic since 2003, and is presently the Product Marketing Manager. In this role, Michael gathers VOC, competitive, and market analysis in order to support product roadmap.

Michael also serves on the Board of BACnet International. He has also served as the Marketing Committee Chair as well as a member of the Steering Committee. Michael’s outstanding leadership and contributions have been recognized by BACnet International on many occasions, where he has won awards for "Always coming to the rescue", "Volunteer of the Year", and for being "An individual who exhibits outstanding leadership". Michael has a strategy and information technology background and has also served as the presentation consultant to CIOs of Delta Air Lines and The Home Depot.

 
     

Executive Office

Natalie Nardone, CAE, CMP - Association Manager - BACnet International

Natalie Nardone, CAE, CMP has over 15 years experience in association and event management. Prior to joining BACnet International in 2005, she was the Director of Education and Conventions for Georgia Automobile Dealers Association and a sales manager for two hotels and a conference center in Augusta, GA.  Her experience is invaluable in project deployment and strategic discussion involving multiple decision makers.

Natalie Nardone, CAE, CMP, is the Association Manager of BACnet International and is a proud member of Meeting Professionals International Georgia Chapter (GaMPI) and the Georgia Society for Association Executives (GSAE).  In addition, Natalie is the 2006 recipient of Meeting Professionals International’s (MPI) International Tomorrow’s Leader Award and GaMPI’s Meeting Planner of Year Award.

In 2006, Natalie earned her Master of Science degree in Information Design and Communications. She has published several articles in the area of association and event management for industry and trade publications. She holds both Certified Association Executive (CAE) and Certified Meeting Professionals (CMP) designations.

 
Lorri Banker, CMP - Association Accountant - BACnet International
With over 20 years experience in accounting and event management, Lorri has held positions with companies including McKesson/HBO & Company, Acuity Brands, Inc., KPMG and UPS Capital Corporation.

The unique ability to manage the smallest details while keeping the big picture in mind makes Lorri the perfect individual to handle accounting for BACnet International.

Lorri earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Accounting from Plattsburgh State University (Plattsburgh, NY) and is active in Meeting Professionals International Georgia Chapter (GaMPI) and the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA). She graduated from Georgia Society of Association Executive's (GSAE) 2010 Leadership Academy.


 

 
David Nardone - Membership & Tradeshow Manager - BACnet International

David (Dave) Nardone, is an Atlanta native that focuses his time on membership and trade show management for BACnet International. Prior to joining The Association, Dave was in facilities and materials management for over ten years in the medical industry. He is the primary point of contact for our members, accounts receivable, and attends all trade shows on behalf of BACnet International.

 
Zach Claxton - Communications Coordinator - BACnet International

Zach Claxton joined BACnet International in 2013 and focuses on communications. He has a background in public relations and government affairs.

Zach graduated from Berry College with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and a Minor in Government. His previous experience with business development, marketing and public relations, media relations and management are invaluable to the  communications coordination he provides to BACnet International. He is a member of American Society of Associate Executives (ASAE). His activities include press releases, speaker management, publication management, website and general communications.
