New Voting Member of BACnet Testing Laboratories Working Group Announced

Japneet Singh of Johnson Controls, starts five-year term as newest voting member

BACnet International is proud to announce the addition of Japneet Singh as the newest voting member of the BACnet Testing Laboratories Working Group (BTL-WG). Singh was inducted during a BTL-WG virtual meeting on June 25, 2020, and began his five-year term on July 1, 2020. The BTL-WG operates under the auspices of BACnet International.

 

The BTL-WG provides technical oversight and guidance for the global BTL testing and certification program for BACnet products. The primary goal of the certification program is to improve BACnet interoperability among building automation products. Voting members are selected from knowledgeable experts in the BACnet community and serve 5-year terms.

 

“Japneet has been a very active participant in the BACnet community and recently received the BACnet International Rising Star award in recognition of his dedication and enthusiasm,” stated Andy McMillan, BACnet International president and managing director. “We are very happy to see him taking on greater responsibility in the BTL Working Group.”

 

Singh is a product owner at Johnson Controls, India and is primarily responsible for gathering and understanding the requirements from the stakeholders. He also assists the BACnet development teams and testing teams for different products. Singh has more than six years of experience in the field of BACnet protocol testing and working with BACnet embedded controllers and servers in the building automation domain.
