BACnet International Announces an Introduction of BACnet

Publication provides an overview of BACnet for building owners and engineers

Atlanta, GA (PRWeb) – March 14, 2014 – BACnet International, the leading association facilitating the successful use of the BACnet protocol in building automation and control systems, announced the release of a new publication, “Introduction of BACnet For Building Owners and Engineers”. BACnet International developed the publication as part of an effort to provide an overview of BACnet history, terminology and philosophy for building owners, managers and others involved with BACnet projects.

As the membership ranks of BACnet International quickly grows, demand for knowledge of the BACnet protocol increases. To assist in this effort, BACnet International’s publication provides a resource for building owners and managers to gain the knowledge they need better understand BACnet.

“A key initiative of BACnet International is to provide resources where members and users of the BACnet protocol can get the information that they need to be successful,” says Andy McMillan, President and Managing Director of BACnet International. “This publication will provide the basic knowledge necessary to enable readers to better understand and implement BACnet in their projects and facilities.”
